Peningkatan Kemampuan Menulis Cerita Pendek Menggunakan Media Poster Pada Siswa Sekolah Dasar
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis cerita pendek melalui penggunaan media poster pada siswa kelas IV B SDN 11 Dangerakko Palopo. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus meliputi tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV B SDN 11 Dangerakko Palopo yang berjumlah 23 orang, terdiri atas 10 siswa laki-laki dan 13 siswa perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan observasi dan tes. Instrumen penelitian meliputi lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, lembar observasi aktivitas siswa, dan tes menulis cerita pendek. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskripif kuatitatif terhadap data keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, aktivitas siswa, dan kemampuan menulis cerita pendek. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada siklus I hanya 13 siswa yang memperoleh nilai ≥ 75 dengan persentase 56,52% yang termasuk ke dalam kategori tuntas dan terdapat 10 siswa yang memperoleh nilai < 75 dengan persentase 43,48% yang termasuk ke dalam kategori belum tuntas, dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 75. Pada siklus II jumlah siswa yang mencapai ketuntasan meningkat menjadi 19 siswa dengan persentase 82,60% dan termasuk kategori tuntas, sedangkan 4 siswa lainnya berada pada kategori belum tuntas dengan persentase 17,40%, serta memperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 85. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media poster dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis cerita pendek siswa kelas IV B SDN 11 Dangerakko Palopo.
